Second Application Round
First Minister Alex Salmond has announced a cash injection of almost £95 million in European funding that will be directed towards Scotland's economic recovery through programmes to develop the workforce, safeguard and create jobs, and regenerate communities.
Under the Second Round of funding a total of 129 projects across Scotland will benefit from £70.2 million in new allocations from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and £24.7 million in allocations from European Social Fund (ESF).

First Application Round
The Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism, Jim Mather MSP, approved the recommendations of the Programme Monitoring Committee at its meeting on Wednesday 19 March 2008 to award European Structural Funds to projects submitted under the respective ESF and ERDF Priorities in the First Round of the Lowland and Uplands Scotland Programmes 2007-2013.

Project lists are provided by Priority and identify both successful and unsuccessful projects. These awards are indicative at this stage and may be subject to change following the resolution of any outstanding technical issues.
CPP Allocations
In June 2008, John Swinney, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth, agreed approval for the ESF and ERDF aspects of the successful Community Planning Partnership (CPP) bids, submitted in the first round of the Lowlands and Uplands Programmes 2007-2013. Shadow Round
Following the appraisal of the applications for funding through the European Social Fund, in April 2007 the Deputy Minister for Enterprise and Lifelong Learning approved the funding of applications under the Shadow Round of the ESF Lowlands and Uplands Programme.
