ESEP Ltd : European Structural Fund Programmes for Lowlands and Uplands Scotland 2007-2013
LUPS PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATION - 2012 AND BEYOND
You will by now be aware that the Scottish Government has decided to take the IAB contract in-house as of 1 January 2012.
What this means is that ESEP staff principally engaged in the delivery of the IAB contract will now transfer under the TUPE 2006 Regulation to Scottish Government on 4 January 2012. I am certain that they will continue to provide a professional and supportive service that ESEP has been proud to provide over the years since January 1995. Former ESEP staff will initially be based at Highlander House, Waterloo Street, Glasgow from 9 January 2012 and you will be advised shortly of their new contact details.
Aside from the inevitable bureaucracy and essential compliance, we have always strived to provide added value and have worked closely with project sponsors to both strengthen and bring to fruition some of the most innovative and exciting projects, in addition to projects at a community level which help transform peoples' lives. As a company, and in large part due to our Board membership, we have been pleased to have played a small part in enabling the efforts of all stakeholders to grow the Scottish economy and to support and sustain the essential participation of marginalised communities in the Scottish economy.
Finally, this is not the demise of ESEP Ltd but very much a new chapter as we continue to develop and consolidate our various business relationships in furthering our international and domestic business ambitions. Not least of which is our partnership with Amber Infrastructure in managing the SPRUCE Urban Development Fund which will invest up to £50m in urban regeneration projects across lowlands Scotland.
I am grateful to so many of you for your support over the years, particularly during some very challenging times for us all, and I look forward to continuing to work with you in the coming years.
My very best wishes,
Gordon McLaren
Chief Executive
New Funding Applications
Please note that at present there are no plans for any further open calls for new funding applications for the Lowlands and Uplands Scotland 2007-2013 ERDF and ESF Programmes, with the exception of Priority 3, ERDF.
The Programme Monitoring Committee will consider options to maximise the use of remaining funds and any under-spends at a future meeting. When utilised, it is envisaged that funds will be further targeted to add value to Scottish Government policy priorities, and the Managing Authority will liaise with key stakeholder organisations to commission eligible projects.
