Publicity Events for the new 2007-13 Structural Funds Programmes

The Scottish Executive is holding a series of publicity events for the new 2007-2013 Structural Funds Programmes.

A full day programme has been devised to cover all points of interest. Morning sessions will concentrate on the major changes in the new ERDF and ESF programmes. Afternoon sessions cover the practical administration of the new programmes.These events will take place at venues throughout Scotland.

Operational Programmes submitted to European Commission

The Scottish Executive has submitted the Scottish 2007-13 Structural Funds Programmes to the European Commission as the start of formal negotiations. The documents for Lowlands and Uplands can be downloaded here:

As part of the negotiations, the documents may be revised again before they are formally approved. Partners may also be interested in a paper setting out key Questions and Answers on the New Programmes.

The Executive is aiming for the Programmes to be formally launched in October, but there will be a series of publicity events and workshops for the Programmes across Scotland in June and July. Details of these events will be published soon

Strategic Environmental Assessments Statement now available

The Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) Statement has now been published. The SEA Statements describe the process of appraisal through which environmental protection and sustainable development have been considered for the new Programmes. The Statements also describe how the findings of the earlier Environmental Reports have been taken into account in the development of the respective Programmes.
Summary of Responses to Public Consultation now available

The Summary of the Consultation Responses and the Executive's response to the points raised are now available from the Scottish Executive European Structural Funds website.
Responses to Public Consultation on new Programmes

The Responses to the Public Consultation on the 2007-13 Structural Funds Programmes are now available for download from the Scottish Executive website. These include the individual written responses to the consultation and summary notes of the workshops that were held in December. The summary of the consultation responses and the Executive's response to the points raised will be published shortly.
