The Programme Management Executive (PME) was established in January 1995 to support the Partnership. In essence, the PME is the arm of the partnership which is needed in order to undertake programme management tasks and provide support to the various Committees. The PME are responsible for performing the following functions;
- Coordinating the preparation of programme documents
- Supporting Programme or Monitoring/Management Committees
- Setting Up and supporting the Advisory and Management Groups
- Drafting project selection criteria
- Administering the project application & project appraisal system
- Establishing realistic monitoring indicators
- Monitoring physical & financial programme implementation
- Managing the strategic impact & review process
- Ensuring publicity & promotion
- Advice and guidance to applicants
